The Flyers (15-11-3) host the New York Islanders (20-8-4) tonight at the Wells, and the visitors are big faves:
Money line : Islanders -130 (bet $130 to win $100) | Flyers +110 (bet $100 to win $110
Against the spread/ATS : Islanders -1.5 (+200) | Flyers +1.5 (-250)
Over/Under : 5.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)
And Flyers goalie Carter Hart’s slump is the big reason they are a home dog:
Semyon Varlamov (13-6-3, 2.17 GAA, .923 SV%, 3 SO) vs. Carter Hart (8-7-3, 3.83 GAA, .875 SV%, 1 SO)
Varlamov is on a two-game slide, including his most recent outing on Thursday against the Flyers. He coughed up four goals on 31 shots in that game. While he has a 2.17 GAA overall, he is 0-1-1 with a 3.47 GAA and .854 SV% in two starts against Philly this season.
Hart won the first game against the Islanders Thursday, allowing three goals on 25 shots in a 4-3 win. However, he was pounded Saturday, roughed up for six goals on 28 shots. Still, he is 2-1-0 with a 3.61 GAA and .864 SV% in three outings against the Isles this season.
