Eagles Week 17, 2018 vs. Washington

Week 17, the final game, of the Philadelphia Eagles 2018 regular season is now in the books! The Birds beat Washington at FedEx Field by a score of 24-0. With this win, and with the Chicago Bears beating the Minnesota Vikings, the Eagles will now head to the 2019 NFL Playoffs where they’ll face the Bears. This Eagles team ended their regular season with a 9-7 record, and many of us fans are shocked by the fact that Super Bowl repeat is still possible.
Jeff and Erik broke down this game where we saw utter dominance from the Eagles defense. Not allowing Washington to score a point, the Eagles front four pressured the quarterback and secondary shut down their receiving corps. Washington came away with 89 total yards of offense in this game. Meanwhile, Nick Foles threw 2 touchdowns on the day, and backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld threw one, his only pass of the day, as well. A stellar offensive line protected Foles and allowed for the team to accumulate 129 yards on the ground. Nelson Agholor caught two touchdowns and Alshon Jeffery was once again extremely effective for this receiving corps. Let’s get ready for next week when the Eagles travel to Chicago during the wild card round of the playoffs!
As always, we gave our breakdown, analysis and takeaways from the game. Plus we also got into the team stats, box score and graded the positions and coaches.
