Week 13 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2019 season is now in the books. The Eagles suffered yet another loss, this time to the Miami Dolphins on the road by a score of 37-31. A terrible performance by the Eagles defense and questionable offensive play calling had lead this team to being 5-7 on the season. After the Cowboys gave the Eagles the gift of losing on Thanksgiving Day, the Birds were unable to capitalize being beat by a Dolphins team that was 2-9 on the year coming into this game.
While Carson Wentz certainly had a bounce-back game, he didn’t receive any help at all from Jim Schwartz and the defense. Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills were utterly embarrassed by the Ryan Fitzpatrick and Dolphins receivers. Allowing the Dolphins to score 37 points, 20 of them unanswered in the second-half lead to the Eagles undoing. Should Doug Pederson have balanced his passing and rushing attack more? Should we start looking to the offseason as this year is seemingly over?
As always, we give our takeaways, analysis and grade each position as well as the coaches.
