Week 9 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2019 season is now in the books! The Eagles beat the Chicago Bears at The Linc by a score of 22-14, and their record is now 5-4 on the season. They are still fighting for that top spot in the NFC East.
This game was nothing more than a slog-fest. A terrible Chicago offense against an Eagles defense that wasn’t necessarily the greatest. While the better team certainly won this game, the Eagles receiving corp, outside of Zach Ertz, has been minimal help to Carson Wentz throughout the season. The defense was unable to pick off, given multiple opportunities, a terrible quarterback in Mitchell Trubisky. For some reason the Eagles offense let their foot off the gas in the second half even though they dominated time of possession throughout the game. While we’re happy about this win, it wasn’t the prettiest.
As always, we give our takeaways, analysis and grade each position as well as the coaches.
