Eagles Postgame Week 16, 2019 vs. Cowboys

Week 16 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2019 season is now in the books! The Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys at The Linc by a score of 17-9 to keep their playoff hopes alive! If they Eagles beat the NY Giants next week, they will win the division and head to the playoffs for the third straight year under head coach Doug Pederson. The Birds’ record is now 8-7 on the season as they’re first in the NFC East division.

This game was placed on Carson Wentz’s shoulders and he lived up to the task of brining us a win with a depleted receiving corps. He completed 77.5% of his throws on the day, 8 yards per attempt, 1 TD, and had a 108.2 rating. The offense was on fire with Wentz, Miles Sanders and Dallas Goedert. This week, the defense showed up and played a lights out game not allowing one Cowboys touchdown. All aspects of the defense came up huge, especially on third and short yardage plays.

As always, we give our takeaways, analysis and grade each position as well as the coaches.
